Jeanne Sanders, RN, CBN
Jeanne is our Bariatric Program Coordinator. She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse. She teaches your pre and post operative education classes, facilitates support groups, and is an on-going resource for information. Also, Jeanne is available to you during your hospital stay. She has had a gastric bypass herself making her a knowledgeable and compassionate educator.

Jeannette Budowsky, RN, BSN, CBN
Jeannette is our Bariatric Clinical Coordinator. She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse. She is responsible for making sure you have all of your medical and psychological clearances, facilitates support groups, and is an on-going resource for information. She has had a gastric bypass herself and is an excellent first-hand resource.

Fran Johnson, MS, RD, ACSM/HFI
Fran Johnson is a registered dietitian with over 30 years of experience in weight management. She has worked with bariatric surgeons in Chapel Hill, NC, New York City, and for the past 10 years has developed nutrition guidelines and instructed patients for several surgical practices in Hampton Roads. With Sentara Metabolic & Weight Loss Surgery Center, she teaches pre and post operative nutrition and wellness classes and facilitates the BEWELL Support Group. Her experience and commitment to weight management patients make her an invaluable member of our team.
Fran Johnson is a registered dietitian with over 30 years of experience in weight management. Michelle Osborn, ACSM/HFI
Michelle is the Exercise Physiologist. She has been with our program for 3 years and in the fitness field for 15 years. She educates patients on how to exercise before and after their surgery.

Insurance Staff
Lola Wilson
Lola is our Site Manager and Insurance Coordinator. She is our insurance expert and can tell you what you need to qualify for surgery with your insurance company. She can also assist you with financing options if you are looking to self-pay.
